The Philadelphia Flower Show Reimagined

The Philadelphia Flower (PFS) Show will host “Habitat: Nature’s Masterpiece” this summer in a historic park in downtown Philadelphia. The celebration will examine nature through nature’s kaleidoscopic lens.

The 192-year-old Show will be held from June 5 to 13, 2021. It will cover 15 of the 348-acre Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park (FDR Park) in South Philadelphia, near the Sports Complex. The site will provide space for new features as well traditional favorites. It will be the scene of outstanding gardening and floral attractions.

“We are thrilled to be able to celebrate the outdoors and offer joy and beauty after a year that has been marked by so many challenges. This experience is a wonderful example of the enduring and combined power of green space, plants, and gardeners to create impact and inspiration,” said Sam Lemheney, PHS Chief of Shows & Events.

The early June dates of the Show coincide with the height of growing season. The Show will be divided into three “districts:” Plants, Design, and Gardening. Designed for gardeners of all levels, it should inspire visitors and provide them with knowledge they can use after the Show.

2020 Philadelphia Flower Show

The PHS’s Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and the world’s longest-running horticultural event. It features stunning displays by premier floral and landscape designers. The Society, which held the first show in 1829, exhibits diverse and sustainable plant varieties as well as garden and design concepts.

The Show will be held outdoors during the summer at the advice of event and city officials. PHS aims to host as safe a show for the public as possible. There will be timed and date-specific ticketing that limits attendance. It is the first time in the Show’s history that it has been held in an outdoor venue.

The show will be held at FDR Park, 1500 Pattison Avenue and S. Broad St.
