Sunny skies and 72 degrees will make Thurs., Feb. 15, the perfect day for pre-spring work at the seed orchard.

Volunteers are needed to lay out new plots; pound tree stakes and drill planting holes (450  each); and remove shelters from tree planted in 2016. Work will begin at 9:30 a.m. and should last about three hours. The orchard is located at the Central Maryland Research & Education Center.
